Ontario XSprint Championship

This is a new form of racing to Canada. It is very popular in Austraila where they were started to develop riders special test speeds. It is basically a short loop with 3 back to back electronically timed special tests and no transfer trail. Riders do 3-4 laps with a break in between each one.

Have you ever wondered who is the fastest, all around off-road racer in Ontario?  Have you ever wanted to compete in an off-road race where the term “pin it to win it” was actually true? Well hang onto your grips, because there is a new addition to the already popular XSprint series!

XSprint Full Throttle

XSprint Full Throttle (FT) is a bar-to-bar version of the standard XSprint format. This format is a cross between MX, WORCS and Endurocross while utilizing the three test sections found in the standard XSprint format (Extreme, Cross and Enduro).

The first ‘XSprint: Full Throttle!’ race will take place July 24th at the Welland County Motorcycle Club facility near Niagara Falls. On that weekend we will find out just who is the GOAT-The Greatest of All Terrain! Plan to spend the weekend, because in addition to the ‘XSprint: Full Throttle’ race on July 24 there will also be a Pro-only Endurocross demo race on the evening of Saturday July 23rd, with the two EX motos taking place during breaks in Welland County’s full night program of exciting flat track competition on their famous ¼ mile dirt oval. They’ve even scheduled the mighty 750 V-twin and Speedway classes to race, and the WCMC grounds features camping, food and clubhouse facilities. The ‘XSprint: Full Throttle!’ track on Sunday will incorporate elements of motocross, flat track, trials, grass track and singletrack in one very challenging race course. This will be a spectacular weekend for spectators and racers!

2011 XSprint Schedule -

June 19 - Parry Sound (ST) – It is fitting that the opening round of the XSprint series will be held in the area that spawned the special test style enduro format in North America. The location will be the Fowler Hurd Pit, which has been host to the CEC championship the past two years as well as special tests for the 2006 and 2007 World Enduro Championship. This event will be a standard version of the XSprint with the time trial format.

July 23/24 - Welland (FT) – Brought to you by the Welland County Motorcycle club in cooperation with offroadmotorcycles.ca, this unique weekend will feature an Endurocross demo race on Saturday night in front of a sellout crowd of flat track spectators, followed by the’ Xsprint:Full Throttle!’ race on Sunday. This weekend will crown the GOAT-‘Greatest of All Terrain’. This first Full Throttle event will be a barn burner....guaranteed!

Aug 13/14 - Wingham (ST) (2 day) – The favourite stop on the calendar in 2010 is back in full force in 2011 with a two-day race weekend. Bring the family and make it a camping weekend to take advantage of this beautiful property. Both days will be a time trial (standard) format and I am sure the popular hay wagon and car obstacles will be back.

September 3 - Motopark (FT) – The last stop on the XSprint calendar is at Motopark and we are going to end on a fast note with another Full Throttle event. There will be more information and cool surprises regarding the final round at a later date.

 Additional Points Paying Event:

September 17/18 – CEC Ontario – Since one of the reasons for the creation of the XSprint is to prepare racers for the special test format of the CEC, results from the Ontario CEC rounds will count towards the overall XSprint championship!
